The Painting Pottery Café

The brief

The Painting Pottery Café is a paint-your-own pottery café in Brighton. People planning a visit, whether for a birthday, a family day out or a quiet afternoon, want to know what the space is like and how much room there is before they come. The aim was to let them look around from home.

What we shot

We photographed the café in 360° as bracketed HDR panoramas. A pottery café is full of colour, with shelves of pottery waiting to be painted, and blending several exposures for each scene keeps that colour accurate while holding detail near the windows and in the darker corners. The panoramas were linked into a walk-through tour that visitors can move around and look in any direction.

Where it’s used

Our tours are published to Google Maps, where they sit on the business listing and appear when people search for the café, and the same tour can be embedded on the café’s own website. For a place people visit for an occasion, a tour answers practical questions before anyone picks up the phone. It is one of many shops, cafés and offices we have photographed across Brighton & Hove, and our commercial photography covers the stills to go with it.
