Virtual tours for wedding venues: what couples want to see

Couples shortlist wedding venues online, often late at night and together on one phone. They want to picture the day: where they will say their vows, where guests will eat, where the band will go and where the photos will be taken. A 360° virtual tour lets them do that before they book a show-round, and it is something they will share with parents and friends.

What couples want to see

The ceremony space, dressed. An empty room is hard to imagine. Shoot it with chairs laid out and the aisle clear, and ideally in the light of the time you hold ceremonies.

The wedding breakfast layout. Show the room set for a wedding, with round tables or long banquet tables. If you offer both, a hotspot can switch between them.

The evening space. Where the dance floor, bar and band go.

The outdoor spaces. Gardens, lawns, a terrace or a view. These are often the reason a venue is chosen, and 360° shows them far better than a single wide photo.

The practical bits. Bridal suite, accessible toilets, parking and the route from ceremony to reception. Guests with mobility needs, and the couples planning for them, will thank you.

Make the tour answer questions

Wedding venue enquiries are full of repeat questions. Put the answers in the tour:

  • capacities for ceremony, breakfast and evening in a hotspot in each room
  • a downloadable brochure or price guide
  • a short video of a real wedding playing in the room where it happened
  • an Enquire about a date button in every scene

Venues tell us the most valuable result is better-qualified show-rounds: the couples who book have already decided they like the space.

Seasons and set-ups

Many venues look completely different in June and December. A tour can hold more than one version of the same room, such as a summer and a winter set-up, or the barn by day and lit for the evening. We can add seasonal scenes later without reshooting the whole venue.

Getting found

Couples search “wedding venues near me” and “barn wedding venue Sussex” on Google Maps as well as the web. Publishing your 360° scenes to your Google Business Profile puts the venue inside the results they are already browsing. Embed the tour on your own weddings page as well, rather than only on a directory listing you don’t control.

What it costs

Most wedding venues fit our Signature tour, from £1,950 for up to 40 scenes, which includes floor plans, video, enquiry hotspots and Google Maps publishing. Smaller venues can start with Essentials from £695. See our full pricing guide.

Show couples around before they visit

We shoot venues across Brighton, Sussex and the South East. See our hospitality and venue tours or tell us about your venue.
